Pierogi: More Than a Book, Less Than a National Taste Guide · cover

About the book

A book about the dumpling that Ukrainian kitchens have made for generations, with more than thirty recipes: the classic fillings and newer ones written for a modern kitchen.

Every recipe was created and tested by chef Aleksey Shvets, with Juliya Plokha as co-author. It is part of the Food'n'Chef project and came out in December 2015: 96 pages in paperback, with hardcover and Kindle editions.

My part in it

I styled and photographed every dish and took the book through to publication. The same process now serves chefs and restaurants who want a book of their own.
