I photograph food, drinks and products for restaurants and brands. My photographs raise the average check, and I take the whole job off your hands: from the idea to finished files, printed menus and publishing.

A consistent look across the menu, delivery apps, Google Maps and Instagram, with the menu designed and printed by the same team.
Campaigns, packshots, Amazon listings with A+ content and video for food, drink and consumer brands, planned around where the image sells.

I work with a designer, a developer, a retoucher and a video editor, so you get finished menus, listings and posts rather than a folder of files.
We start from your guests and your numbers, and agree what the photographs have to do before the shoot is booked.
Food, drinks, products, the room and the people, photographed and filmed on the same set during the same session.
Menus, sell sheets and packaging mockups laid out by our designer and checked before they go to press.
The website, an online menu with ordering connected to your point-of-sale system, delivery apps, Google Maps and Amazon.
If you share your sales after launch, the next shoot starts from what those figures show.
more sales of the photographed dish
higher average check with photos in the menu
growth of the business as a whole
As reported by clients from their own sales reports. The three figures measure different things: one dish, the average check and total revenue.
Hi Alex, I hope you're well. I took the statistics you requested after renovating our menu with your photos. Our bill has grown 24% at Namo and 31% at Gaylord.
You requested analytics about dishes with photos you took. Last month, we sold out 27% more than before. Thank you for a good job, Alex!
Alex, thank you so much for your work. If we compare the reports from our last shoot with the same period the previous year, the sales of the dishes we photographed increased. The percentage ratio is 70/30
I have worked as a commercial photographer for twenty years, and food has been at the center of that work for more than a decade. I have worked for Larousse Gastronomique and photographed six cookbooks through to print.
Every frame is approved on set while the dish is still in front of us, and in twenty years no client has asked me for a reshoot. I live and work in New York, and new work goes up on Instagram at @slyadnev.nyc.
More about me
We photograph real food. AI never draws your dishes, because guests compare the picture with the plate and say so in their reviews.
Moodboards and rough layouts let you see the idea and sign off on it in advance.
Background variations, extra formats for each platform, and voice-over or translation for video.
I quote by the shoot day and send a written estimate within 24 hours. Write a few words about the job and I will come back with a plan.
